8 Things I Wish He’d Remember When I’m Being “Moody”
Dear Boyfriend,

You know that I love you and that you mean the world to me. I absolutely adore the fact that you’ve looked past all my flaws and have accepted me as I am. I know that there are days when I’m not the nicest person on the planet. I have my good days, my bad days and my very bad days. I get worked up over tiny things and somehow I channel all my frustration out on you. I know this isn’t fair on you, but when I’m in one of my “moods”, this is what I want you to remember.



1. It may be PMS

Okay, yes, I admit it. I know I can’t use this as an excuse, but trust me I can’t help it. My body goes through weird internal transformations which in turn affect my moods and my head. I have no control over this and trust me I wish I did. Please be patient with me. This will soon be over...until next month.

2. It isn’t always PMS!

Sometimes I’m just in a bad mood - not because I’m PMSing. Like, don’t you keep track? Okay, stupid question. You probably don’t because you’ve never had to. I can’t explain it - it happens to every woman, sometimes we just break down, we cry without cause or reason and we don’t know what to do. We feel helpless. At times like these, please don’t get upset with me - just hug me and tell me that it’s all okay and life is going to be okay.

3. You have your days too...

Yes, you’ve shouted at me and blamed me for reasons that have nothing to do with me. You’re not always pleasant either - no one can be! I know that just like me, you have long work days and some days you get tired and irritated. Remember that we are both just human and we are allowed to be weak.

4. I still love you

I am sorry for when the nasty side of me comes out. I personally dislike it too. But I want you to remember that I have always loved you and that I will continue to do so. This side of me, no matter how nasty she is, still loves you, heart and soul.

5. My favourite food, drink and song...

When I’m low and also otherwise, come over, talk to me. We’ll talk over wine or even ice-cream. Let’s talk about my favorite movie, my favourite memory, your favourite thing to do in the world. Let’s talk about the world. If talking is not your thing, let’s listen to that beautiful song together in silence.

6. Remind me of things that I forget about myself

Tell me again why I am a good person. Remind me that I am a strong individual, remind me that I am capable of achieving many great things in life. Tell me that I’m just going through a moment of weakness and that I will shine.

7. Divert my attention to something else

Like, maybe let’s go somewhere we’ve never been. Let’s try making that dish we’ve always wanted to. Remember that you are an amazing person and you light my world up whenever I feel low.
