It’s never easy to buy a birthday gift for your boyfriend. Given that the world is teeming with options (which makes your search harder) and the pressure of presenting him with the perfect gift, your hard work sometimes seems to fall short. But have no fear - here are a few birthday gift ideas that is bound to make his day extra special!
1. Groom away to glory
Some of us like our men clean-shaven and the majority of us like our men to have some facial hair. However, a full grown beard can look messy sometimes. Hence a grooming a kit isn’t at all a bad idea. (Wait, this seems more like a gift in disguise for yourself than for him!!)
As a man grows, he becomes wiser. With age his choice of drink also matures. He will savour the taste of a good scotch/ whisky or bourbon, and these call for excellent glasses. Happy birthday? Very happy indeed.
Men live to see places, explore the many corners of the world. They love the adrenaline rush that travelling provides them. They love adventure and are willing to venture quite literally “into the wild”. So, why not gift him something that will make all his trips easier? A travel organizer might seem unnecessary, but once used can be the biggest travel boon.
No one likes clean, empty, boring walls. Not you, not your dad, not your grandmom and not your boyfriend. Poster have been celebrated as a means to show off one’s personality without even having to utter a word. Gift him a super cool framed poster because, trust us, he’ll love it.
Most people love reading books - and if your boyfriend is one who doesn’t, we suggest you get him into the habit of reading! If you present him with a whole series of books, I don’t think he can really ignore your gift, even more so when it’s the biggest thing on the television right now (we are implying that you get this particular series, but of course you can pick up whatever you want).
Satchels aren’t just a feminine thing any more and more and more men are opening up to the idea of owning one. Almost everyone has a laptop now and these leather (real if you can afford it, and faux if you can’t) satchels prove to be the most convenient carrier.
If your boyfriend is a bookworm, we suggest that you seriously think about investing in a Kindle. People who have never used a Kindle before will argue that it doesn’t feel like an authentic book and the “book smell” isn’t there. Yes, while that is true, a Kindle is a wonderful thing to get used to. It’s a lovely device, really.
For this you might need to break your bank or sell one of your kidneys, but you will also be crowned the greatest girlfriend in the whole world. Gift your guy a PS4 and he will thank you for life. However, also get ready to be constantly ignored.
