There are weddings and then there are dream weddings like this one!
When House of Misu’s fashion blogger Mitali Sagar’s wedding pictures came in, we were all eyes. It was the simplicity, elegance, and freshness of this unconventional wedding that took our breath away. Shot by Monisha with The Photo Diary, this one’s a treat.
Mitali and Siddarth first met at a friend’s destination wedding and, of course, Siddarth fell for her. “After the friend’s wedding, Siddarth was somehow always present at all our outings and he was clear about his feelings for me from day one!” laughs Mitali.
The Mehendi
We love how the bride has styled her green and purple lehenga with pretty floral jewellery. Also the hair – the messy braid looks just perfect!
The mehendi took place at Breach Candy Club, Mumbai. Mitali wanted to incorporate fruits in her decor and the creative team at Samani decorators put together bunches of flowers and fresh fruits as the table centerpieces!
The Wedding

The good-looking couple tied the knot on February 6 at Tote on The Turf, Mumbai, which was later followed by a cocktail party. “I wanted a fun wedding. No formal stuff, no stages, no lines to meet the bride and groom. Just something easy, elegant and chic,” shares Mitali. “We had a percussionist at the cocktail party and it went on till about 3 am in the morning!”
Mitali’s makeup was done by Varsha Gidwani. “She’s a dear friend and she’s the only one I trust,” shares the bride. The two worked together for all her looks and Mitali especially loves the faux bob that Varsha did for her cocktail. Also, do not miss that amazing metallic eyeshadow! So pretty!
The Cocktail
For the cocktail party, Mitali wore a billowing emerald-green gown by Shantanu and Nikhil.
Did you notice their wedding hashtag? It reads ‘#youhadMIatSID’! How adorable is that? I had to ask Mitali whose genius idea it was. “I was thinking of a hashtag for my wedding and just somehow I came up with #youhadMIatSID! I said it out loud and just fell in love with it. I love it and I am so proud of it, it’s one of the most special elements of our wedding!”
“Monisha from The Photo Diary was the most amazing, artistic and energetic photographer I have come across. She took time out to get to know us, figure out our vibe, and each picture just echoes me and Siddarth as a couple,” shares the bride.
And now the one thing I always want to know from every bride! I asked Mitali what was the most special moment of the wedding and this is what she had to say:
“On my mehendi, my friends and relatives had put up a cute little performance for the two of us. The surprise element however was my mom. She is not the most outgoing person and to see her perform solo for me was just the most touching and special moment. By the end of it, not just me but everyone in the gathering had tears in their eyes.”
