Life can be confusing. A day of clarity can often be followed by a week of turmoil. So naturally, we feel the need every once in a while to unburden ourselves by talking to or being with someone else. But we fail to realize that we need some "alone time" too. It is important to reflect upon yourself and your choices alone. You find that it is possible to be happy by being alone. Here is a list of things that you should do by yourself, to understand yourself better.
1. Live alone
Have you ever tried living all by yourself? If you haven't, you really ought to. Living alone teaches a woman a wide range of things and essential life hacks. It will also teach you how to be responsible, how to handle your finances and a bunch of other things you will be thankful for later in life. Living alone teaches you that you are a strong, smart individual who can fend for and look out for herself.
2. Do "couple" things alone
It is uplifting to do things with yourself and for yourself. Buy yourself that coffee and those pretty flowers. It's completely okay to love yourself first and be completely comfortable in your own company!
3. Shop all by yourself!
Women often shop in twos or with a bunch of people. Yes, guilty as charged. For once, tell your girlfriends to chill and stay home. Go on a shopping expedition by yourself. While it can be great to get a second opinion sometimes, it's also great to make up your own mind and learn about your own individual style!
Every woman should travel alone at least once, because this way, she shows a certain level of confidence in herself. So go, see the world! The best part - you get to choose where to go and what to do next, each time!
5. Go through a heartbreak alone
Try not running to your best friend or whoever else for once. You can do this on your own. You are a strong, beautiful person. You can be your own hero. You just have to try and try again.
6. Take care of a kid
For real! There are two types of people in the world: a) the type who love kids; and b) the type who hate kids. But even for type a, taking care of a kid isn’t easy work. It requires a lot of patience and hard work. You also get to learn that just like a kid, it is okay to make mistakes, to cry and to be vulnerable - and most importantly, to be full of wonder.
Moving to a new place will make you realize that the world is your oyster! And those nimble feet of yours are ready to take on anything. You will grow as a person and have plenty of new opportunities to take on!
8. Make new friends without taking help from old ones
