When people say “Diamonds are a girl’s best friend”, others refute this and say, “They never owned a dog”. Well, maybe, you never had a sister! Dear annoying, lovable and absolutely adorable sister, this one’s for you!

As cliché and redundant as this sounds, you truly were my first ever real friend, my best friend, my confidante – and you will continue to be so till one of us drops dead.
2. I know exactly what colours look good on me.
Together we’ve experimented with every other colour the universe could possibly provide.
3. I have such a massive threshold for insults being hurled at me, just because of you.
The names you’ve called me and the plethora of mean things you’ve said to me! I never took it to heart, though, because I know you never meant a word of it.
4. This doesn’t mean that I love being insulted, though.
You also taught me how to stand up against injustice of any kind and that I deserve to be treated only with respect.

Thank you for that time you covered for me when I snuck out to be with my boyfriend!!
6. You constantly make me feel special.
You make my purpose of existence validated, no matter how mundane the purpose might be.
7. And that other time I came home super drunk…
You just gave me some lemon water, held my hair over the commode and then tucked me into bed.
8. For warning me beforehand that some guys are just eye candy.
And that they can have the darkest of hearts. Thank you for reminding me that I deserve the world and more.
9. My food hero!
Thank you for never keeping me hungry and constantly making sure that I’m always fed.
10. You are my one true critic and I turn to you for everything.
With you, there are no lies. There is only clear, uncut honesty.
11. But that doesn’t mean we don’t respect each other’s privacy.
You have taught me the sheer importance of space and boundaries.
12. My fashionista!
Since we raid each other’s closets almost every day, I never have to feel inadequate when it comes to my wardrobe.
13. You give definition and add substance to our family.
Without you, I feel like we’d be a very confused and disoriented herd.
14. You are my personal stand-up comedian.
There is never a dull moment with you around. You fill my life with joy and laughter. At your expense, I’ve cried tears of laughter too.
15. Thank you for making fun of me ALL THE TIME
(I will someday have my revenge, Hmph).
16. You taught me how to share everything.
Including joy. When you achieve something in life, I feel pride as though you were my own child. When you fail in what you really put your heart into, I wish I could trade all my happiness with your misery.
17. You are a beautiful being and an angel.
Never change. Thank you for being a huge part of my life. I love you.
