#MyStory: Our First Kiss Didn't Go According To Our "Plan"!
I was talking about a party with my best friend Jake; it was one of the most popular parties in our college and we all had to attend it. I wanted everything to be perfect and look the best for it. So, I wanted to plan things with Jake. I texted him: “I'm planning to wear a red lipstick, it will be bold and perfect. What do you think?”
Jake replied: "I want to kiss a girl wearing red lipstick.”I just sent one line back: “You can kiss me if I wear it, but tell me what I'm asking.”We literally planned the whole day out; and the kiss was included in the plan. The day finally arrived and we had a great time at the party, but we didn’t get to kiss.We were going home in one of our friends’ car, and I was a little bummed that I couldn’t get my first kiss. We were close to reaching my place and everybody in the car was hungry; I was about to call my mum and ask her to send something downstairs, but Jake stopped me and said he'd go with me upstairs as he was tired of being cooped up in the car. I was an idiot and couldn't sense anything when he said this.We were in the lift and he asked, “Does this lift have a STOP button?” We took some food from my apartment and went back to the lift. We both were a bit shy and nervous and no one could initiate things. And then I suddenly said, “Let’s go to the terrace.” Within minutes, we were on the terrace. There were butterflies in my stomach. I can still remember the way I was feeling at that time.
I was so shy I could barely talk. He said, "If you are not sure about this, let’s not do it.” This line actually worked very well on me! I went close to him and put my arms around his neck. It was dark and Ed Sheeran's Thinking Out Loud was playing in my head. I leaned in to kiss him, but I missed! My kiss landed on his cheek instead of his mouth. We started laughing. Then, after almost ten seconds, our lips touched and he kissed me. I was totally lost in the moment; I don't know what happened in the next few moments, but when I came back to my senses, we were still kissing. We stopped kissing eventually (though we both wanted to keep going) because our phones were ringing; our hungry friends in the car were calling us. I answered and told them that Jake would be down in a few minutes. After I was done talking, he came closer, held me by my waist and we started kissing again. I was right next to railing of the terrace and I felt like I would fall. I was about to tell him that but the moment I tried to talk he started kissing me harder to shut me up. He held me tighter - that felt amazing!!We stopped again after 2-3 minutes because I realised my phone had fallen from my pocket. He got worried that his friends had been waiting for too long and started rushing towards the door.
I said, “Don’t go, or I will pin you to the wall this time!” He turned around and came right back to me. I pushed him against the wall and he held me really close, our bodies touching from lips to toes, our mouths devouring each other.By the time we got back into the lift, he had purple all around his lips. I had actually ended up wearing a purple lipstick that night! We both agreed that it was the best first kiss anyone could ask for... under a moonlit sky full of stars. :-)*Names changed to protect privacy.Image: ShutterstockHave a story you’d like to share?
