Things you need: Soap bar; coconut, almond or jojoba oil; sugar; essential oil; soap or organic colouring; cheese grater; and a small box or tray.

Step 1
Take a bar of soap and start grating it.
Step 2
Add some organic colour to the grated soap it if you want and lightly mix it in.
Step 3
Add a small cup of coconut oil into it and mix it well.
Step 4
Heat in the microwave for just about 20 seconds so that you get a paste like texture.

Now add some sugar into this mixture and mix it nicely with the rest of the contents in the bowl.
Step 6
Add an essential oil of your choice and mix it into the existing mixture fast so that the oil and soap don’t settle separately.
Step 7
While the mixture is still warm, put it into a mould and put it in the freezer to set for ten minutes or till it’s completely set.
Step 8
Take the mixture out of the mould and cut it into smaller pieces. Then freeze it for 5 minutes.
And there you have it, your very own DIY scrub bars!
