Do Girls *Like* Going Down On Guys? Is That... Common?

As with everything else in life, some women like it, some women don't. Either of which is okay, really. Here are a few things you should know.
1. What about girls who don't like it?
We are the sum total of our experiences. For girls who don't like going down on guys, it's probably because the experience hasn't been pleasant. Aggressive behaviour on a guy’s part during the act doesn't help - having your head yanked or hair pulled and other such things during an act which is so intimate can be pretty disconcerting, and put one off the experience forever. And that's perfectly fine - just tell your partner about it.
2. It just sounds so…gross, though!
It's about your personal comfort level too - wrapping your head around the concept of having someone's penis in your mouth can be a tough one. For many girls, though, it doesn't seem so gross - we do put all sorts of other random stuff in our mouth through our lives. If he’s clean, it doesn't feel like such a big deal. So try to keep an open mind. But if it's just not something you're into, then you're not. You can always find something else to do with him that bothers you less, after all!
3. Is it possible to get to like it even if one hates it in the beginning?
Yes, it is. You get used to it, and can become pretty good at it too. Helps to have an understanding partner who is willing to accept your reservations and even physical discomfort, and work your way through it.
4. But it seems so difficult!
That's true. It's not quite as simple as nibbling on a biscuit, after all. The key is to remember to breathe through your nose so you don't gag or choke, and to stop the moment things feel uncomfortable. (Psst, if you want, you can just use your hands to help you - and him - along!)
5. What about, er, spitting and swallowing?
Totally up to you, regardless of what your partner wants. Your tastes and preferences in this matter (quite literally speaking) are more important than his.
6. So how many girls actually like it?
It's fairly evenly divided. Some girls like it, some girls hate it, some girls do it even if they don't like it because their partners do… It’s possible to belong to any one of those categories.
7. Still not sure how I feel about this…
End of the day, it's your mouth, your body, your choice. You shouldn't feel pressured into doing something that genuinely icks you out, no matter what anyone else thinks. And neither should you hold it against someone if she says she doesn't have a problem with it. To each her own. :-)
