“Why Am I Not Having An Orgasm?” (7 Ways To Get You There!)

“Why Am I Not Having An Orgasm?” (7 Ways To Get You There!)

Orgasms sure do get talked about enough, but did you know that only 25% of women are reported to orgasm consistently during sex?! That means only one-fourth of the female population is achieving this oh-so-talked about Big O! Of course, sex is truly enjoyable even without this coveted climax, but it’s worth noting that there could be several reasons behind not achieving orgasm.

Let’s find out some …

1. The Perfect Position

While it’s fun to try out as many positions as possible with your partner, going for them all at once during the same session may be hindering your chances at orgasm. This is because the female stimulation areas work best when attended to in a more rhythmic (and regular) manner – and by disrupting the ‘rhythm’ too often orgasm is less likely to be achieved.

2. Zoning Out

It’s true that we lead busy lives and have more than one thing to do or think about at any given point of the day. But thinking about the fact that you have to do the dishes while your partner is trying to get the job done is not exactly going to be productive (after all, you’re hardly going to get out of bed to do them right now)! So try to keep yourself engaged during the sensual act: mind, body and soul!

3. The Number 1 Rule

Forgetting to pee before getting into the sack may seem like the last thing on your mind! But, because the G-spot is surrounded by glands that are connected to the bladder – every time it is stimulated you will feel the urge to pee. This may result in a false alarm and cause you to tense up and not achieve orgasm! So make sure to take care of your bladder before making it to the bedroom!

4. Foreplay Outta The Way

Even though you and your guy may be totally in the zone mentally, forgetting foreplay can lead to some mishaps in the bedroom. This is because women have to be adequately aroused in order to feel stimulated during intercourse. So make sure you guys spend enough time getting to know one another’s bodies! How about playing a fun game to mix things up and amp up the foreplay action?!

5. #TheCSpot: Move, Over G-spot!

Clitoral orgasms don’t get enough attention, especially considering that women can orgasm from clitoral stimulation alone! Plus if you have a clitoral orgasm you’re statistically more likely to orgasm during sex as well! So make sure your guy (and you!) are paying enough attention to your clitoris.

6. All In Your Hands

Practice makes perfect as they say! So, there’s no harm in logging in some down (there) time and figuring out what makes you tick! That way, the next time you and your partner are getting busy you will be able to offer some helpful suggestions!

7. Kegel Time!

Ladies, you won’t believe how much the Kegel exercise can actually help you – and it’s so simple that you could do it literally all the time! The vaginal muscles – like all other muscles in the body – can be strengthened, and the Kegel exercise is the answer to your problems. Just locate the muscles that you use for peeing, contract them as tight as you can, and hold for 3 seconds. Release and repeat. Do this about 15 times per session – and you can do 2-3 sessions every day. This repeated contraction and relaxation technique strengthens your pelvic floor and vaginal muscles, leading to greater flexibility and control during sex, and ergo orgasm!
