1. Maybelline The Colossal Volum’ Express
One of the first mascaras in India and it’s still going strong. The Colossal mascara is definitely one of the most popular mascaras around.
The Pros:

- It lasts all day.
- It makes for a great everyday mascara.
- It adds plenty of volume to your lashes, without being OTT.
- It doesn’t clump at all, even after many strokes.
- The formula is not too thick and not runny.
- The brush is soft and is very easy to sweep through all your lashes.

- It doesn’t add much length. (But it doesn’t claim to either!)
2. Maybelline Hyper Curl Volum’ Express
This mascara comes with a curved brush to enhance the curling formula.
The Pros:
- It’s easy to layer.
- It lasts all day.
- It dries quickly.
- It’s easy to apply.
- The formula isn’t too thick nor too runny.
- It comes in 2 options – waterproof and washable, both are the same price.
The Cons:
- The curling effect may not be up to your expectations.
- It clumps pretty easily.
- You run the risk of your lashes looking way too spidery if you apply too many coats.
- It creates gaps in between lashes, which doesn’t make them look voluminous.
3. Maybelline Vex Falsies Waterproof
This mascara also comes with a curved, spoon-shaped applicator to ensure it coats every lash. It’s supposed to give you thicker lashes without having to go through the trouble of dealing with false lashes.
The Pros:
- It’s very easy to sweep on.
- It definitely makes your lashes thicker, longer and way more dramatic.
- It fills in the gaps between lashes.

Our Verdict: It’s a tough choice between the Colossal mascara and the Falsies one. I love how thick my lashes look after a coat of the Falsies mascara, but I think the Colossal mascara is amazing for daily wear. The brush glides over your lashes really easily and provides just the right amount of volume for any occasion, even work. It’s great value for money.
