7 Things I Tell Myself When I Feel Defeated By The World

There are times when we feel completely exhausted with all the chaos and madness of the world. We feel bogged down by the pressure life comes with and completely beaten by everything around us! There are a few things you should remember and tell yourself at such times to help lift your spirits. Here are a few of them…

1. “This too shall pass”

When you’re feeling down and out, remember that no such situation ever lasts forever. Every hardship or difficult situation will end sooner or later! Just keep your chin up. 🙂

4. “I am wonderfully smart!”

You are. And you can achieve just about anything you set your heart and mind to. Then why waste your energy worrying about this temporary situation that is dragging you down!

5. “There is so much to look forward to in life!”

The world is your oyster and opportunities await you! Seize the day and grab every opportunity that teaches you something new and makes you happy.

6. “Nothing I have done so far has ever been a waste of my time”

Whether it is that course or job you quit after realising it wasn’t what you wanted to do or a failed relationship, there is something to learn from everything. It happened to you for a reason and taught you a little lesson about yourself and the world. Take that and use it to your best ability!

7. “I will only come out of this stronger!”

Yes! You will be stronger at the end of it. You will recognise your strengths and weaknesses and be able to use them to your advantage in the future. And better yet, you will learn to recognise all the real people in your life who offer that additional strength to you. Embrace them and never let them go!
