Ladies, it’s time to do your hair a favour and give it a vacation from equipment like blow-dryers and irons - trust us, it will look and feel better than ever before. Going heatless will save your locks from dryness, damage and breakage. But if you’re worried about taming your mane without your go-to styling tools, we’ve got you covered! We give you a few easy, hairstyles that require no heat and look just as fabulous on unwashed hair. Go on, save your strands with these effortless styles.
1. The 3-Braid Bun
Of course a simple bun is the quickest way to deal with your locks when they’re looking not-so-fabulous, so why not give it a twist with a few quick braids?
: Brush out any tangles and then tease your hair at the crown.
: Divide your hair into 3 equal sections and braid each section and secure. You should have 3 plaits at the end of this step.
: Roll each braid up, towards your head and secure with a few bobby pins.
2. The Half-Crown Braid
This cute braid works on any texture and brings some flirty glam to your look when you want to leave your hair loose.
: Take a section of hair of equal size in front of your ear on either side and braid them all the way down to the ends.
: Take your plait from one side, across to the other and pin it down above your ear.
: Repeat this on the other side to complete your braided crown.
3. The Boho Updo
Bring out your fave hairband for this boho chic look and pair it with a girly dress the next time you want to stir things up.
: Place the hair band on your crown, like you would with a tiara.
: Twist the hair from your temples to your ear and and tuck it into the hair band. Do the same on the other side.
: Tie all your hair below the hair band into a low ponytail with a thin elastic and then roll it up and pin it to your head, right above the hair band.
4. The Hair Bow
This pretty style may look complicated, but believe it or not, it’s as simple as tying a shoe lace.
: Brush out any tangles before taking a thin section of her above your ear on either side (not more than 2 inches wide).
: Pull bot the sections back and cross them over in the centre, at the back of your head.
: Tie a tight bow (just like when you’re tying your laces) and use bobby pins to secure it.
5. The Twisted Ponytail
This cute hairstyle quite literally brings a twist to a boring ponytail!
: Try this on bedhead, so that your ponytail has lots of texture.
: Take sections of hair on either side and twist them down the side to the nape of your neck.
: Tie your hair into a low ponytail.
: Wrap a thin section of hair around the elastic and pin it below your ponytail to conceal it.
