· A pretty gold hairband. We love this Roman Princess Gold Leaf Hairband.
· Bobby Pins
· A thin elastic band
· A 1 ½ inch barrel curling iron. We like Remington CI5338 Hair Curler
· A good styling spray like L’Oreal Elnett Heat Protect Spray
Pretty, soft waves bring texture to a simple braid and adds that girly charm to the whole look. Make sure your hair is completely dry before plugging in your curling iron. Start curling your hair at random. Since your locks are going to be braided, it’s not necessary to have perfect waves so don’t worry about being too meticulous. Make sure to spritz on a bit of styling spray on each section before curling it.
Make a centre part and slip on your Grecian headband. Push it up a bit on to your crown and pin it in place in such a way that the sides are concealed under your hair.
Once your hairband is in place, gather your locks to one side and start braiding over your shoulder, making sure it’s looser on top and tighter as you make your way down to the end. Tie it in place with the elastic at the bottom, wind a thin section of hair around it and pin it so that it covers it up.
Gently tug at your braid to loosen it a bit, pull out a few tendrils above your ear and finish off with some hairspray to keep it all in place. Swipe on your fave bright lippie and get ready to wow like a total Greek Goddess on your next big night out.
