This quote by Tommy Hilfiger is probably one of his personal favourites, and how true is that? Behind every successful achievement there’s a whole lot of hard work, will power and determination backing it up.
The celebrated American designer is in India on the occasion of the brand’s 10th anniversary in the country, and the POPxo Team is privileged to be part of the celebrations. Yesterday saw Mr Hilfiger deliver a keynote speech at the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts in New Delhi to a group of fashion students from NIFT, and what a wonderful and inspiring speech it was!
Powerful yet incredibly down-to-earth, Mr Hilfiger spoke about his dreams, his personal challenges as a designer, his experiences and, of course, his future aspirations for his brand here in India – an open and frank address that showcased how nothing is impossible with hard work and passion.
At the end of his speech, Mr Hilfiger was bombarded with questions by the talented bunch of aspiring designers, and he answered them all precisely and gracefully. Many people, in and outside the world of fashion, look up to Mr Hilfiger as a role model and a mentor – and seeing him in action, we have to agree!

Mr Hilfiger also spoke about his admiration of India, and its richness of colours, materials and art – something he is looking forward to inculcate in the Tommy Hilfiger brand in India in the years to come. Yay!
