Ever since KJo revealed that a new season of Koffee With Karan is on the cards, the Bollywood lover in me has been looking for more updates. Now, rumour mills are buzzing that popular couples of B-town will be gracing the first episode of the show! Scroll down for all the deets:
Who Are These KWK Guests?
Karan Johar is all set to make a stellar comeback on his Koffee couch by the end of June’23. As far as the guest list goes, a lil’ birdie tells us that the filmmaker is keen to open the new season with a bang and with none other than- *drumrolls please* Alia Bhatt-Ranbir Kapoor! Well, that’s your first couple. Yep, there are more!
Karan believes that the audience would love to know about the couple’s married life. Other than Alia-RK, some aww-dorable jodis like Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif might also be Karan’s guests this season.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon and Prabhas, Khushi Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, and Agastya Nanda are some of the other names being speculated to make an appearance on the show. It’s going to be one starry season!
When KJo Opened Up About Ranbir’s Absence From KWK 7!
While Alia Bhatt was the first guest of Koffee With Karan 7, Ranbir Kapoor refused to be on the show owing to his fear of saying something controversial that might land him in trouble. When Karan was being asked about the same during an interaction, he said, “He’s a really close friend of mine. He said ‘If I say something, kuchh gadbad ho jaega (something will go wrong) so I’m not coming’. He teases me, he says ‘you pay me what you’re getting, then I’ll come’. I said ‘why should I pay you? I’m not paying you’. I’m paying you enough for the movies you’re doing.’ And I respect that. Just because they are close friends, they shouldn’t come. They should come if they want to come.”
