For those of us with smaller eyes, the search for the ideal kajal can feel like a never-ending quest. The challenge? Finding a kajal that's not only precise and pigmented but also resilient enough to withstand the elements. It's a journey filled with trial and error, where each product promises much but delivers little. That is, until you stumble upon a game-changer that seems to be crafted just for you.

What Is It?

The Lakme Eyeconic Kajal in Black is a game-changer in eye makeup. It’s a waterproof, smudge-proof kajal designed to deliver intense, dramatic eyes. Boasting a long-lasting formula, it promises up to 22 hours of wear; this kajal is perfect for creating a bold, impactful look that withstands all elements.

Our Thoughts

I’ve been using this product for years, and have yet to find something that delivers the same pigment at the same price. The kajal is malleable – easy to use for a 5-minute smokey eye, but also works wonderfully when you need a bolder, more intense look. The packaging is easy to carry and the fact that you don’t have to sharpen it is a godsend. It’s budget-friendly, universally loved, and fits into the smallest bag which are three markers of a good product.

Coming to things I don’t like: it’s not waterproof or smudge-proof. You will have to re-apply it at least twice or thrice during the night, and more if you’re sweating. It does come off quite easily i.e. with facewash or cleansing balms. Plus the crayon pigment is very breakable, so you have to be careful with it. Overall, a good budget-friendly alternative to the rest of the big names in the industry but the performance could be slightly better!

How To Use It?

For optimal results, start with clean, dry skin around the eyes. Gently draw a line along your lower lash line, starting from the inner corner and moving outward. Repeat the same on the eyelid and stay close to the lash line for a defined look.
