Chikankari & Pearls!
Who said mehendi means bright colours? Kiara chose off-white to celebrate her ‘pyaar ka rang‘ and it looked every bit gorgeous!
Chikankari is slowly inching towards bridal wardrobes and the subtle elegance is what makes this embroidery style so special. While Kiara’s chikankari lehenga with gold borders looked fab, the pearl-beaded blouse stole the limelight! With an open back and scalloped hemline, the blouse is a pure delight!
The Contrasting Dupatta!
Mehendi hai, thoda rang toh banta hai!
Kiara uplifted her off-white attire by teaming it with a golden yellow dupatta that was hand-embroidered with Swarovski crystals and pearls. I loved how the vibrancy of the dupatta added life to the outfit. Also, it perfectly matched Sidharth’s kurta. A little twinning is necessary, right?
Flawless Accessorising
Kiara has proven with her bridal looks that Sindhis do take their jewellery very seriously!
While emeralds took centerstage in her wedding and reception look, she went with ornate polki jewellery for the mehendi. Styled by Manish Malhotra himself, the bride wore an elaborate choker, layered haar, and earrings to match. I loved the mix of colours that stood out against her off-white outfit.
No Kangans Or Choodiyaan!
Kiara ditched the kadas and bangles to balance out the maximalism of her other jewellery pieces. A heavy neckpiece and earrings with empty hands—definitely trying this for my next traditional outing.
