Deepika Padukone was a class apart at Louis Vuitton’s Paris Fashion Week show. She was one among the many celebrities including Zendaya, Emma Stone and Phoebe Dynevor to be seated in the front row of Nicolas Ghesquiere’s show.
The Bollywood superstar looked edgy in a black leather dress, lace tights and knee-high boots. And her grunge makeup was in a whole other league. It reminded me of her character Veronica from her film Cocktail.
Messy, Crimped Hair
For the LV show in Paris, Padukone’s hair was done by Yianni Tsapatori. He parted her hair in the centre and used a crimping tool to give her hair an envious texture.
I recall DP having almost the same wild and effortless ‘do in Cocktail, but with a side-parting.
For hair as voluminous and glossy as the actress, I swear by the Schwarzkopf Professional Osis+ Sparkler Shine Spray.
Smokey Eyes
Deepika’s makeup for the runway show was done by her go-to MUA, Sandhya Shekhar. To match the edginess of the leather and lace outfit combination, bold, smokey eyeshadow highlighted her brown eyes. To make them pop, even her lower waterline was filled with black kohl and smudged outwards.
In Cocktail, DP often wore kajal on her lower lash line and a smokey gold shadow for when she wanted to glamm up (which was always).
When I want to ace the smokey eye, I use the MyGlamm Superfoods Kajal in the shade Raven to line my lid and then use a brush to blend it outwards.
Nude Lips
A matte nude shade on her lips was the perfect way to balance out all the boldness in Deepika’s look.
In Cocktail too, Veronica’s go-to lip shade was nude too to strike a balance between her glamorous dresses and OTT hair and makeup.
