We Bengalis just love sarees. I have been stealing maa’s sarees since I was a child! I would sneak into her wardrobe and put on some of her makeup too. From a red bindi, to badly applied lipstick, and an untidy hair bun – I’ve done it all.
I’ve also been punished for breaking an expensive lipstick once. That obviously didn’t stop me from doing it all over again. Basically, sarees and makeup are my love language.

Athiya’s W-Blush Technique Is Winning
She looked amazing at all her wedding ceremonies, but since I am biased toward sarees – this one had to be on top of my list. Sanya Malhotra’s dewy makeup is something that even my mom is in love with. I love how her subtle winged eyeliner and dramatic lashes enhance her look. The pink eyeshadow and rosy lips bring out the beauty of the Falguni Shane Peacock saree she wore at the Stardust Awards, 2023. Not just Hailey, even Vaani Kapoor is proof that glazed doughnut skin is here to stay. She did justice to this Tarun Tahiliani saree with her monotone makeup and a whole lotta highlighter. Tightlining the eyes with a white kajal or liner makes her eyes appear brighter and wide awake – I need it for sure. For that glossy pout, the Too Faced Lip Injection is my favourite.
Since all of these celebs have their hair in a bun, I am convinced that it is the best hairstyle to complement a saree.
