1. Sharp pelvic pain

If you’ve been going through sharp pelvic pain then you need to visit your gynae. Whether the pain is constant or comes after intervals, it could be a sign of an infection, a ruptured ovarian cyst or worse. Don’t avoid the pain if it persists for a day or two.

2. Lumps on your breasts

If you find a lump or mass on your breasts or find something unusual, it is another sign to visit your gynae. It could be a sign of cancer. Even if it is not, it is something that needs to be evaluated and taken care of.

Vaginal discharge is absolutely normal. It’s thickness also changes at different times of the month, depending on how close you are to your menstrual cycle. 4. Bleeding in between periods

Occasional spotting in between two cycles does happen sometimes. However, if the bleeding is heavy or painful, you need to visit your gynaecologist. It could be caused by an injury to the vagina, or it could even be a symptom of something more serious that a doc needs to look into.

5. Problems during urination or bowel movements

This could be sign that the tissues that support your pelvic organs have been damaged or weakened. You need to go through proper medication and exercises in case your situation is worse than usual, which only your gynaecologist can suggest after a proper examination.

If you’ve had heavy flow for all your life and suddenly, you hardly have any, or vice versa, you need to visit your doctor. There are chances that it would just be a hormonal change in your body, but it could also be a sign of some other ailment that needs to be looked into by your gynae.

Yeast and bacterial infections can cause vaginitis. And if that is the case, it leads to itching. A serious problem of itching can actually cause injuries on the outside and inside layer of your vagina. The best way to treat these infections is to take proper medication.

10. Extreme pain during sex

A little discomfort during sex is normal and happens to most women out there. However, sex is not supposed to be a painful act. If you’re experiencing extreme pain then it is a sign of excessive vaginal dryness or infections. You must visit your doctor if such a situation arises.
