“Why aren’t you getting married?” This is a question us single girls have to deal with all the time. I mean, ALL the bloody time. Because for some reason, people just don’t seem to get it – that your marriage is your business. NOT anyone else’s. It’s understandable when our parents ask us this question – they’re worried about us. When our friends ask us – that’s okay too, because hey, they’re our friends, after all. But then starts that annoying list of OTHER people who think it’s appropriate to ask us such an intimate, personal question – random relatives, neighbours, even perfect strangers. And it’s especially irritating when strangers ask. Because, hello, WHY? It’s not like they’re even going to be invited to the wedding, right? And that’s why we SO wish we could shut them up (and down!) like Quora user Roshani Gupta! When some random guy posted a question asking “Why is Ekta Kapoor not married yet?” this was her totally badass answer…
