This super-cute bun is so simple to do and really adds a bit of a wow factor to every single outfit!

Step 2: Clip the crown hair on either side.

Step 3: Divide the remaining hair in two and tie this into a knot!

Step 4: Then, underneath the first knot, make a second knot.

Step 5: You can repeat this step as many times as you want to, depending on the length of your hair.

Step 6: When you have made the knots, take a clear elastic and tie the ends of the hair so they are secure. Tuck the leftover ends into the bun. Secure the ends with bobby pins.

Step 7: Take the left section of hair from the crown, and loosely wrap it around the bun; repeat this with the other side of hair, making sure it overlaps the left side, and secure the wrapped hair with bobby pins.

2. The Two Minute Twist

This is such a gorgeous hairstyle for any girl-on-the-go who wants to add a bit of feminine flair to her outfit! And…it really does only take two minutes to do!

Step 1: Begin by applying hair spray to your hair so it is more manageable.

Step 2: Starting from the hair around your forehead, take a small section from the base and start twisting it in one direction towards the side of your face.

Step 3: Add small sections of hair, from the same side, along the way – keeping them near but not too tight.

Step 4: Do this around your whole head until you run out of hair to add to the twist.

Step 5: Tie the twist with a small hair elastic and secure it into the first parts of the hair you twisted! And you’re done!

Step 2: Pull the remaining strands around the bun, so they are wrapped around the base.

Step 3: Use a hair tie to secure this bun, holding it loosely in place.

Step 4: Now pull sections of the bun to make it bigger.

Step 5: To keep the height of the bun, put a clip at the back of the bun. Lift the bun slightly and secure it in place! Gather hair around it to hide the clip!

Step 6: If strands are falling out of the bun at this point, don’t worry as this is where the bobby pins come in – use them to secure any flyaway strands.

You could always pull out some strands from the side to give it that straight-out-of-bed look!

4. Braided Donut Bun Updo

This is such a pretty bun, and the braid really gives it that extra touch of detail! Plus, it’s a great way to use a hair donut. If you don’t have one though, you could always cut out the foot of an old sock and roll it up to make a donut!

Step 1: Brush your hair and gather it into a high ponytail – secure this with a hair tie.

Step 2: Using your hair donut, pull the hair from the ponytail through and spread your hair all around it (so that it is no longer visible). Get another hair tie and wrap this around the hair to make a bun.

Step 3: Gather the remaining hair and bring it to the back to make a regular three-section braid.

Step 2: Part your hair into four sections (this will make it easier for you). Separate these sections using clips.

Step 3: Section the front part of your hair and clip them on either side of your face. Use the hair from your crown as another section, and the remaining hair as the fourth section.

Step 4: Tie the fourth section in a ponytail and use your fingers to tease the strands upwards and use this to form a low bun. Secure this with bobby pins.

Step 5: Now take the two side sections, and divide them into smaller sections on each side, then twist them towards the bun. Alternating sides, twist them towards the centre of the bun and wrap them around, securing them with bobby pins.

Step 6: Do the same with the crown section, making sure the hair is pulled back when doing so.

This bun is perfect for people with curly hair; if not, you can always curl your hair using tongs or curlers beforehand – curls give this bun the volume it needs to amp up your average hair day to an OMG-WOW hair day!

Step 3: For each part of hair, take a hair tie and tie it around halfway the part. Make sure they are secured at the same length for each side.

Step 4: Now, take a section and curl it inward to form one of the sides of the bow. Secure this at the top and bottom with bobby pins. Repeat with the other side.

Step 5: Take the remaining hair and loop it around your finger to tuck it inside the bow – adding lots of volume and making a neat, full bow!

Step 1: With your hair down, separate the front sections around your ear and pin them up.

Step 2: Then divide your hair in two sections – bottom and top.

Step 3: Pull the lower part in a rough bun.

Step 6: Twist the ends together and use them to form a bun to tuck into the pouf.

Step 7: Comb the front strands you had sectioned earlier and slick them back and pin them on either side of the pouf.

Step 8: Repeat the above steps with the lower section of your hair – starting with the teasing.

Step 9: Now collect the hair together and twist it. Roll the hair down, tuck under and pin it in place – hiding the roll underneath the bun.

You can add a headband for a retro-finished effect!
