Her transformation from the sweet, simple, dependent-100%-on-mummy-and-papa and slightly underconfident girl to the friendly, happy-go-lucky charmer was truly incredible. Her eventual confident attitude and her determination to stand up for herself is really something we could all learn from!
2. Katrina Kaif in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara
We all remember Laila as the free-spirited girl who listened to her heart and followed her dreams without a care in the world. Not bogged down by worries or responsibilities, she lived in the moment and travelled as much as she could (and she also ended up with a super-hot guy). Don’t we wish we could live her life for just a few odd minutes at least?!
3. Anushka Sharma in Band Baaja Baarat
The driven, ambitious Shruti Kakkar was determined not to let anything get in the way of her career, not even love! She knew what she wanted and went after it, not afraid of the consequences. We could all use some of that feisty go-getter attitude.

Ananya, the sweet and obviously super-smart girl (she’s in IIM, after all), finds the love of her life in college (seriously, like, the perfect guy). She then gets a great job and supports her man in trying to win over her parents – but when the time is right, she doesn’t hesitate to stand by her parents too! Righteous and true to herself. We would love to be like her!
5. Leighton Meester in Gossip Girl
Blair Waldorf, the queen bee of the Upper East Side, has undoubtedly been idolized for one reason or another by us all at some point. We either digged her sass and her unabashed way of just being herself or wanted to be her for her impeccable style, dramatic love story and rollicking career in fashion!
6. Sarah Jessica Parker in Sex And The City
Carrie Bradshaw – we have ALL secretly wanted to be her. Living in Manhattan in a amazingly cute apartment, writing about (her) sex/love life for a living, dating one cute guy after another! And always out and about in the city, doing fun things with her friends. It would be such a lie to say we didn’t want her life!
7. Jennifer Aniston in F.R.I.E.N.D.S.
We saw Rachel Green go from waitressing at Central Perks Coffee Shop to being a super successful career woman and mother. She worked her way up from scratch and we literally saw her grow as a person through the seasons. Funny, charming and successful. We’ve all loved Rachel!
8. Deepika Padukone in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani
Naina Talwar, the sweet, naive girl, blossoms from a shy girl with no friends to become a fiery young doctor with a flourishing career. She makes great friends, gets the life she’s always wanted and also ends up with the super cute guy who falls madly in love her. How perfect 🙂
9.Reese Witherspoon in Legally Blonde
Elle Woods may have only gone to law school to prove a point to her boyfriend, but she discovers her strengths soon enough. She comes into her own, never changes who she is and then goes on to have a smashing career! And let’s not forget, she ACTUALLY did prove her point! Pretty in pink, she was as fierce as fierce can be!
