What sparked your interest in street style?
People write books, poems or fill in daily diary pages to express themselves- I dress up! I saw people hearing me out and connecting with me – when I put up my first streetstyle picture. Since them my pictorial diary hasn’t run out of pages
What is your first fashion memory?
My first fashion memory would be buying 18 sets of clothes when I was just 11 years old. Shopaholic much !
What is your personal style statement?
Thats a complex question. Somedays I feel like a punk queen, another day it’s the quintessential Indian. An Indian saree worn with a studded blouse best describes my personal style. I love finishing strong outfits with feminine elements. I love following trends and all things quirky. I am the only one I think who hates the LBD.
What made you take up blogging?
After graduating in Economics (Hons.) and completing Masters in Finance, my love for fashion didn’t let me warm the corporate seat for long. Hence the decision to follow my fashionable dream came in late but came in at the right time. I left my job as a brand head at a leading timewear company and started writing for a friend’s e-magazine. I liked being my own boss, soon I started my own blog and voila am here today talking to Popxo team.
What would you like to tell all aspiring bloggers?
Newbie blogs miss the importance of knitting a story. Anyone can copy-paste a look but they cannot write the right words. If blogging is where your soul is then stay persistent and the world will notice you sooner or later. You need a pen not just a lipstick.
